What can Corona teach us about love?

If we take a step back and see what is going on in the world, it is fascinating to see which kind of effort we are putting in staying healthy. Social, economic, psychological.

One thing Corona taught me is that we are able to go a long way for our health and the health of our loved ones.

It makes me wonder. How would it look like if we would have the same attitude towards other things that we are dying from?

How would it look like if we would make sure we get those half an hour of exercise daily to make sure we don’t get heart disease?

That we take those fruits and eat more vegetables so we protect yourselves from cancer?

Or that we call our dear elderly people frequently so they don’t get lost in loneliness?

Or that we start to be a part of the solution for world hunger?

Or to address discrimination in the world to prevent innocent people from being randomly killed?

Not to even mention taking care of nature.

We can die of Corona. But we can die of so many things. If we would care about other things only in a fragment of the care we show now, the world would be a different place.

Although a lot of us could work on our fear, my point here is not necessarily to care about Corona less. It is about caring about other things more.

We can all be inspired by our willingness to protect ourselves and others. Let’s just please not stop with the virus.
